The Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st Birthday Party!

Finley turned one four weeks ago and we celebrated his special birthday with a Very Hungry Caterpillar party.  A favourite book in our house and one he has come to know and love.
We were very lucky to have my Mum visiting from New Zealand to share in the day and celebrations (and help with the party prep! - thanks Mum!)
The birthday boy got very spoilt and loved his first taste of birthday cake!
We're looking forward to watching him grow and move into the toddler stage over the next year.

The Enchanted Wood Party

A few weeks ago we celebrated Amelie's 4th birthday with an Enchanted Wood Party.  What a wonderful afternoon she had with all of her friends as well as Nana and Poppa visiting from New Zealand.  Lots of yummy woodland treats were enjoyed by all.

I'm a descendant from the Dickie family and thought it was appropriate to name the blog after the loves of my life - my children (my three little Dickie birds!)

noun 1. dicky-bird - small bird; adults talking to children sometimes use these words to refer to small birds.
